Have to look into that one. Cheapest flight I can find at the moment from Manchester are around £110, but that's to Paris, because I thought of hiring the car from there and driving down to Marseille the day before that concert, and then NIce for a day, before heading for Lyon later in the week and then back to Paris.

I heard of someone on Practical Fishkeeping being sold a 120 litre tank and being told they could keep 12 Orandas in it!
White Clouds are a bit of a puzzle. They come from a mountainous area of China (apparantly, though now extinct in the wild) which has average temeratures of 20+C. They normaly breed in water temperatures of between 18 and 2 more…

I have white clouds in a 35 litre tank - again, a tank that was sold to me as suitable for FIVE goldfish! I the three goldfish I had in it to a 100 litre tank and they provided me with lots of baby goldfish :)

BTW white clouds are coldwater and don't really need a heater at all - mine don't have one. I'm sure it doesn't do any harm tho more…

And this has to do with this post? Nothing. This has nothing to do with the controvosy caused by the cowardice of 7 Nations at the Olympic Showjumping, which brought the sport into disrepute and robbed Britain of the medal they would undoubtably have won.

Hi Linzi, i just wanted to respond to a youtube video you posted about what was there before the big bang. The assumption you made was that "Everything comes from something" and therefore the matter which was at the big bang must have come from somewhere. There is nothing in the human experience to show that something comes from another thing. We fo more…

My disagreement with the extreme version of rollkur practised by so many in dressage these days, is the main reason I agreed to co-author the "Dressage Truth" blog. While I use the minimum flexion behind the verticle for Gypsy, while keeping an allowing contact with a long rein. I have ridden horses, one 4 years old, that have been so extensivly tr more…

Yes, but the whole disagreement with 'Rollkur' is that they who practice it say they only use it for short periods - when in fact the truth is that they use it for the entire period the horse is working.....except for the short moments they work the horse 'up' (which are not many!)
Classical dressage says that a horse should stretch in front more…

From what I have read on the KC website, many breeds specifications are changing only slightly, the main changes are in breeds such as the British Bulldog and Bassett Hound. The Bassett hound relates to the amount of loose skin that is acceptable and the length of the ears. The changes there will result a dog that resembles Fred Bassett.

I'd like to see Scrufts more recognised. It's Crufts for mongels and crossbreeds - celebrating dogs for being dogs and not a set of specifications.

Although, it would be sad to see those breeds change out of all recognition. I hope they don't take it too far. more…

I have nowhere stated that I support those who use rollkur. I use an exercise on Gypsy, where I ASK, not force, him to flex slightly behind the verticle on a long rein with an allowing contact, while riding him on a circle line when he tenses up, early on in a lesson because other people are tearing round and round in canter. I try to avoid too muc more…

I happen to find it disgusting that people passionately back Anky because they presume that, since she is the No. 1 ranked rider in the world, she cannot possibly be wrong.

i believe the changing in this breed will be for the better for there faces as they are are prown to alot of infections and such short nose's also cause alot of problems with this dog. so maybe its about time the started trying to rectify over breeding and interbreed over the centurires as its never to late to turn something round and alter for the more…
