I am sure there must be a name for my condition. How else is it possible for me to go out on Tuesday, buy 4 books, not start reading the first one until that evening and still finish it the same day (Ok, 2:15 Wednesday morning, but that's still a book read within a 24 hour period!) Then start the first of the remaining 3 books Wednesday and tonight be right near the end of the third of those 3? Yes, I was reading them carefully as well. Want to know the really depressing thing? The book that I started reading Tuesday evening and finished in the wee small hours of Wednesday morning was the last book in the Harry Potter series. There must be a name for this inability to stop reading a book until it is finished. I will conceed that I have put the book I am currently reading down in order to write this, but I am struggling to stop myself from picking it back up. I have my own book to write, Ok 3 of them at least, and picking this book back up and continuing to read it is not going to help me.
Can anyone sugest a name for this condition and, can it be cured or at least treated?
